Jasmine Cassel, PA-C, MPAS, Owner/Founder of Huddleston Hog & Highland Homestead & Physician Assistant at Collaborative Health Partners - Internal Medicine

Originally from Pennsylvania, Jasmine initially overcame many educational challenges later attributed to undiagnosed Asperger’s through determination and hard work. She graduated summa cm laude in 2013 from Elmira College with a degree in biochemistry, then began working as a CNA to gain hands-on experience when her father became ill. Although a difficult time, helping her father through his battle with terminal cancer shaped the caregiver she is today. She then completed her master's in physician assistant studies at Penn State Hershey in 2018. A National Health Service Corps Scholar, she now serves with Collaborative Health Partners practicing adult primary care. In 2019, she also founded Huddleston Hog & Highland Homestead, her small farm business where she helps patients and customers alike through her farm slogan, "Where Farming is Therapy and Food is Medicine."

👩‍🌾 I’m VERY busy, but let’s just say, I wouldn’t trade my 2 jobs for their 1! (So I’m SO GRATEFUL they DO so we can benefit from their hard work!)

🚫 No breaks, no holidays, no weekends, no vacations, no bad weather, no illness, NOTHING stops their job!

🌾 PLUS, they don’t just run any dairy cattle in a lot, they raise A2 cows THE RIGHT WAY—on pasture rotationally grazed—which all improves the nutritional value of the milk and digestibility! (Research shows cows raised on pasture have milk with higher vitamin & mineral levels and the casein proteins in A2 milk are known to cause less GI upset!)

10 years ago - June 14, 2016 was the worst day—the day cancer finally beat the strongest man I’d ever known….

✨I wish we could have celebrated your 70th birthday this year… I wish I could see you working around the farm with Joey and on the new barn—I know you’d be here to help… I wish I could just call & talk to you…

💧I won’t lie, for years the grief CONSUMED me… because you were my person.

🔥 But then I turned that grief into my DRIVING FORCE to do & be better.

You ingrained in me a love of nature, animals, farming, & ice cream.

You taught me to work hard, be humble & stay kind.

❤️ What you ingrained in & taught me is what I STRIVE for every day as a farmer & healthcare provider.

Your memory is my favorite.

And I just hope I make you proud.
