Our first processed Quail! From hatchlings to full grown only about 6 weeks.. may have even been ready a little sooner. The processing itself takes minimal time and effort, no extra equipment needed, they eat very little and taste amazing! I’ll be showing them cooked soon! We love adding new items to our home grown menu! 🤤

A little bit of current a little bit of the last month or so ❤️

Life moves so quickly here at the farm, in one whole day or two we’re embracing so much change.
7 sheep to start another herd, horseback riding & lessons from a sweet new friend, quail hatching tomorrow, the garden is now a jungle including monstrous spiders, beetles, wasps, bees, toads, grass hoppers, mosquitoes and all the other things .. but still worth it we’ve grown monstruos squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, basil, thyme, eggplant, mint, oregano, rosemary, loofah, grapes, green beans, strawberries, chives, parsley, cilantro, bell peppers and a ridiculous amount of assassin peppers lol 🥵Will is working on shading the garden and building a table so we can cook and eat there. Things are coming together. Not for lack of blood sweat and tears. This is no pretty Pinterest life 😅
* oh and the mouse Hanna caught last night .. it bit her bad but she wouldn’t let us send her to Jesus. We drove a mile to rehome her.
