After a busy couple of weeks here at McGrath Cheese Company, we wanted to share some cool things going on with us! Swipe through to see what we’ve been up to!

For the second year in a row, McGrath Cheese Company has taken home the award for Best Local Cheese Company by Hudson Valley Magazine! We will be attending their annual Best Of Party in mid September at City Winery!

A few months back, we reached out to our neighbors at Sparrow's Nest Charity in Poughquag to see if they’d be interested in taking cheese for their meals. Last Monday, we dropped off over 150 pounds of Rascal to feed over 350 people who’s families are fighting a cancer diagnosis.

We also spent the day in a town in Westchester County filming a farmers market scene for a TV series that will be streaming on Amazon. More details to come on that!

Finally, our friends at 109 Cheese & Wine came by for a visit with their friends at Petrolicious for a day of filming, cheese and beautiful cars. We had a great time showing them the cave and explaining the cheese making process.

Cheese. Let’s talk about it.

If you’ve ever worked with me in the kitchen… chances are you have heard me say “cheese is love”….sorry lactose intolerant people, but it’s my absolute favorite thing.

You can imagine the pure joy I felt when the fantastical cheese experts at McGrath Cheese Company reached out and asked if I wanted cheese.

DO I WANT CHEESE?!?! Yes please!!

With this beautiful donation of about 100 pounds of cheese - minus the wheel of cheese I eat- joking- we are going to make a Mac and Cheese dish really, really soon. This is going to bring so much joy to the 350+ people we feed facing a cancer diagnosis each week!

We gained a quite a few new followers over the last week so we wanted to reintroduce ourselves! We are McGrath Cheese Company based out of Hudson, NY. We began the business a little over 10 years ago, but we were no strangers to the cheese world before that. With over 35 years of combined experience, Colin and Mel have been crafting cheese here in the Hudson Valley with a vision of protecting our local dairy farms and supporting our communities agricultural industry.

We hand craft every batch of cheese using only the best milk available to us from small local dairies. We place the highest value in the relationships we have with our farmers as they are the backbone to our cheese’s success. The craft of making artisan cheese is an age old tradition that we strive to pay homage to with every batch we make. As of today, we currently sell our cheeses in over 150 locations across 4 states.
