to taking the G1 Manhattan!
He bred his biggest book yet in 2026 and picked up a huge win at Belmont yesterday. Jack and Jim, born at the farm for breeder Madaket, beat a bevy of stakes horses in salty NY-Bred allowance company. Slumber earned a lot of praise from NYRA's TV crew following the race, including Richard Migliore dubbing him, "A sire on the rise." We couldn't agree more!

New York saw growth. New York increased mares bred by 14.2%, from 1,119 to 1,278, while stallion numbers increased from 29 to 34. Among major breeding states, New York continues to stand out as a growth market and demonstrates the impact a strong state-bred program.

Rockridge is excited to host the next group of breeding season interns to help them get exposure to the thoroughbred industry. This is a very hands on training program that will help them to further their knowledge of a commercial breeding farm.
Our training program will allow you to have a competitive edge and to learn through practical experience to excel in the equine industry.
The training and resources that are available to the equine industry in NY is at the forefront and this is an opportunity to learn and to be a part of the best regional program in the country!

Of course, we would have loved to see him kick butt in the Breeders' Cup, but we are equally excited to see this uber talented horse make his way towards the first Saturday in May and beyond! Go, U.S.S. Valor!

10/04/2026

So...let's recap recent events:
U.S.S. Valor (by WAR OF WILL) wins the G1 Ch*****ne S. in spectacular fashion, punching his ticket to the Breeders' Cup (video below)

Listenupshance (by SHANCELOT) wins two in a row - the G1 Bing Crosby followed by the G2 Santa Anita Sprint Championship, the latter of which punched his ticket to the Breeders' Cup

MIND CONTROL is leading freshman sire in the northeast by a mile, with 9 winners to date, three stakes horses and one SW

SLUMBER absolutely crushed the recently wrapped Saratoga meet, with 50% starters finishing 3rd or better.

AMERICANREVOLUTION's yearlings are averaging better than many of his much more expensive first crop counterparts in KY, and he's poised for success after having bred more than 100 mares again in his third year.

And, to top it off, we are bringing in the gorgeous G1 winning and Classic placed son of Tapit SANDMAN for 2027 who you guys are gonna LOVE.

To sum it up...whatever you're looking for in New York, YOU WILL FIND HIM IN OUR BARN.
