It’s been a wild few days.
First, we just want to say thank you. To everyone who’s stopped in, shared a post, left a kind comment, or recommended us to a friend… we see you, and we’re incredibly grateful. The support has been overwhelming.
At the same time, we also want to apologize to anyone whose experience wasn’t what it should have been.
To be completely transparent, we had no idea when Dave’s review was going live. His team doesn’t give you a heads-up, so when it dropped, we were caught completely off guard. Unfortunately, it also happened during the perfect storm—we were already down two employees on vacation, our newestu counter person had only been here for two weeks, and we had a live band scheduled Saturday night.
The truth is, we only took over Milano’s a few months ago.
We’re still learning, still improving, still fixing things, and still trying to build the pizza place we’ve always dreamed of owning. Growth is messy sometimes, and we’re living that every single day.
I’ve personally only taken two full days off since we got the keys. Most weeks are 80+ hours, and every hour I’m here is an hour I’m not with my three little boys. That’s the hardest part. They don’t understand why Dad is always at the pizza shop—they just know they miss him.
But this is our dream.
Every late night, every mistake we learn from, every exhausted morning, and every sacrifice is because we believe Milano’s can become something really special.
We’re not perfect, and we never will be. But I can promise you this: we’ll never stop listening, we’ll never stop improving, and if we fall short, we’ll always do everything we can to make it right.
Thank you for your patience. Thank you for believing in us. And thank you for giving a couple of new owners the opportunity to carry on a place that’s meant so much to this community for so many years.
We’re just getting started. 🖤🍕
