It's amazing how life finds a way to blossom after tragedy. This mama Muscovy hatcher her 16 ducklings under a dock around our pond that got destroyed from Hurricane Helene. It provided just enough space for her to keep safe and hidden from predators. They are now 3 weeks old and growing fast. Here she is feeding her babies mosquito larvae and tadpoles and keeping the mosquito population down.
