🍌 Kitchen Test Time! 👩‍🍳🍓🍫

Not every loaf that comes out of our kitchen is headed straight to the farm stand… sometimes we get to have a little fun experimenting!

Today’s test batches:
🍓 Whole Strawberry Banana Bread
🍫 Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Both are made with our fresh-ground wheat flour, homemade vanilla, real butter, and loaded with ripe bananas. We sliced them in half so you could see what’s hiding inside!

Now we need YOUR opinion…

Fresh from the oven and in the farm stand! 🍌🍞🧁

Today’s lineup includes:

🍌 Banana Nut Loaf – loaded with flavor and packed with crunchy nuts.
🥜🍓 Elvis Favorite Banana Bread Muffins – our peanut butter & strawberry jelly banana bread muffins inspired by the King’s famous sandwich! (Our boar Elvis definitely approves too! 😉)

If you’ve never tried peanut butter and strawberry jelly baked into banana bread, you’re in for a treat. Sweet bananas, creamy peanut butter, and ribbons of strawberry jelly make these muffins something special.

We’ve been so busy around the farm that I realized I never properly introduced all of our newest additions! ❤️🐮

Over the last month and a half or so, we’ve welcomed six beautiful heifer calves to KMZ Heritage Acres! These little girls are the future of our dairy herd and, in a couple of years, they’ll be joining the milking line.

Meet the proud moms:
🐮 J Lo
🐮 Patsy Cline
🐮 Milli Vanilli (our homegrown daughter of Tilly × Bocephus)
🐮 Ginger Bug (our Mini Hereford)
🐮 Molasses (our homegrown daughter of Ginger Bug × Bocephus)
🐮 Miss Jolene
🐮 Brooks

And the proud dads:
🎵 ABBA, our Jersey bull
🎵 Bocephus, our Dexter bull

One of my favorite parts of farming is watching the generations come full circle. Tilly gave us Milli Vanilli. Ginger Bug gave us Molasses. Now Milli Vanilli and Molasses have calves of their own. Watching daughters become mothers and seeing the next generation grow up right here on the farm is one of the greatest rewards of raising cattle.

These little ladies have a lot of growing left to do, but every one of them represents the future of KMZ Heritage Acres. We carefully select our genetics with the goal of producing healthy, efficient, long-lived family milk cows, and these girls are the next chapter in that story.

If you stop by the farm stand, you just might catch a glimpse of these future milk cows playing in the pasture!

Looks like everyone found the best spot on the farm… the shade! 🌳🐷🐮🐶

One of our favorite things to see is how well everyone gets along. Our pigs are stretched out enjoying an afternoon nap while the calves choose to lay right beside them, and one of our farm dogs has decided to join the group.

This is farm life at KMZ Heritage Acres—animals with room to roam, plenty of shade, and friendships you might not expect.

If you stop by the farm stand, you never know who might be out visiting when you arrive!

Our favorite farm stand visitors stopped by to say hello today! 🐷

If you visit KMZ Heritage Acres, you just might be lucky enough to catch these happy pigs grazing by the fence. Contrary to what many people think, pigs are actually very clean animals when they’re given plenty of space to roam, root, and enjoy being… well… pigs!

🐷 Just pigs being pigs. ❤️

There’s something entertaining about watching pigs do exactly what pigs were made to do… rooting through the pasture, exploring every inch of their world, and somehow turning an ordinary day into a comedy show.

Despite the old saying, pigs are actually very clean animals when they’re given the opportunity. They’ll choose a bathroom area away from where they eat and sleep, and those famous mud baths? They’re not because pigs are dirty—they’re how pigs cool off and protect their skin from the sun and biting insects.

Every muddy nose, happy grunt, and wagging tail is a reminder that they’re living the way nature intended.

Life on the farm isn’t always glamorous, but it’s always worth watching. ❤️
