ABBA takes farm supervision very seriously… even when nobody asked for a supervisor. 🤣🐂

I was unloading feed when ABBA, our Jersey bull, wandered over to supervise. He stood there so calm and comfortable that naturally… I decided to sit on him. 😂

ABBA didn’t seem the least bit concerned about my decision. Apparently he’s added “farm bench” to his list of responsibilities.

Just another perfectly normal day at KMZ Heritage Acres. ❤️

And because he’s a Jersey bull, here’s the disclaimer: ABBA has earned my trust, and I know his temperament very well—but I never forget that he is still a bull. Jersey bulls have a well-earned reputation, and even the sweetest bull deserves respect and good sense. I never let my guard down around him, and this is definitely not something I’d recommend anyone try with a bull they don’t know extremely well.

🍂 Good morning from KMZ Heritage Acres! It’s officially the first full day of fall! 🍁

There’s something pretty special about walking outside on the first morning of fall to this view—the sun coming through the trees, horses grazing in the pasture, pigs already out doing pig things, and the farm waking up for another day. ❤️

Some people think fall means things start slowing down. Not on a farm. 😂

For us, fall means cooler days that finally make it possible to tackle all those projects that were miserable in the Oklahoma summer heat. It means repairing, building, cleaning up, getting barns and shelters ready, stocking hay, preparing animals, checking fences and water systems, and trying to get everything crossed off the list before winter decides to show up.

And that’s on top of the everyday work—milking cows, feeding animals, gathering eggs, baking, keeping the farm stand stocked, caring for the pasture, and whatever unexpected adventure the farm decides to hand us that day.

The temperatures may be dropping and the days getting shorter, but farm life is about to get even busier!

Thankfully, mornings like this make it pretty easy to remember why we love it. ❤️

Our cinnamon rolls are hot out of the oven heading to our booth at the fair in a little bit, made with fresh ground flour, cylon cinnamon and raw sugar... no seed oils just, clean ingredients you can pronounce... frosting is always on the side so you can add as little or as much as you want.
