Cows are the best recyclers. Big industries like Ethanol Gas, Breweries and even Candy Manufacturers sell their waste byproducts to dairy farmers instead of putting their waste into landfills. Farmers then feed it to their cows!! That’s right! Cow’s upcycle waste products by eating them and turning those nutrients into milk, meat and much more! Read my blog for more Ag-mazing info.

Recycling can help save the planet. We put plastic, paper, and cans into recycling bins in our homes and businesses. Have you ever thought about what big industries like Ethanol Gas, Breweries, Clothing Fabic Makers or even Candy Manufacturers do with their waste products? They produced hundreds of....

Check out your adopted calves!! They are four months old and growing well. They no longer drink milk. All day, they have "recess" with their pen friends, eat, and ruminate. Read the blog post to learn what ruminating is!

(January 2024) Your adopted calf is doing great! She's graduated from the calf barn (Elementary School) and is now in the next heifer barn (Middle School) with other calves. Check out this blog for more info and pictures!

Just like we trim our finger nails and toe nails, cows need to have their hooves trimmed. Every Friday, a professional hoof trimmer arrives at our farm to give pedicures to certain cows. Each cow on our dairy gets trimmed at least twice a year. But why a pedicure? A cow's hoof grows a little every d...

January and February cold weather means longer work days for dairy farmers. We've been working extra hard in extremely cold weather to make sure our animals are well bedded, well fed, and healthy during the cold. They don't have a fireplace to warm themselves, no snow pants, no hot chocolate, and no...

Baby it's cold outside! Farmers work extra hard to make sure our babies can handle cold weather.

It’s winter, so no matter where you live it gets cold. But here in Wisconsin, we know cold! I mean REALLY cold! On our dairy farm, we have 60 baby calves to keep warm and cozy every day. We can’t bring them in the house for hot cocoa or a warm fire (though in emergencies, we have brought a strug...
