Job opening:

We have an opening for a full time equipment operator and maintenance mechanic.

Duties: operate equipment and trucks on a dairy, beef and crop farm. Help repair and maintain equipment as needed. Also assist with repairing and maintaining cattle buildings. Fill in with other miscellaneous general farm duties.

ideally looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, willing and able to learn on the job. We willing to provide needed/wanted training to the right person.

Job opening:

We are seeking a full time Mechanic and equipment operator. Duties to include but not limited to: Equipment operation for planting and harvesting, equipment maintenance and repair, dairy facility maintenance and repair, and general farm work.

Some heavy lifting required. Hours can be fairly flexible except during busy cropping times. Benefits: 401(k), paid personal time, paid vacation, phone reimbursement, help finding insurance, paid training.

Some experience working on/maintaining equipment is preferred, or a willingness to learn.

Looking for some more part time occasional silage truck drivers. Perfect for someone with some days off during the week, or retired looking for something to do occasionally.

Must be able to drive a heavy truck with manual transmission, and pass DOT physical. But due to farm exemption, CDL is NOT required.

We are digging out but the farm store is open, from 9am-1pm The road is plowed to the farm.

We don't have much for steaks, but plenty of ground beef products, roasts ribs and briskets!

Today's farm store only special will be a case of Chuck roasts (approximately 40 pounds) for $3/pound. Available in the on farm store only, must take a full case

Perfect for crock pot meals on this cold weather that's coming this week!

Covering a silage pile at 7am tomorrow morning. Any extra help is welcome, pulling plastic and carrying tires is the job. Should take a couple hours, come on out! Will pay cash, and try to have some fun along the way. No extra charge for a good workout!

Looking to add some names to the list of people we can call when we need some silage truck driving. No CDL required, just valid driver's license ability to get a Fed-med card. Some heavy truck driving with manual transmission experience required.

This is very part-time, just when we make silage. Works great for retired people looking to make extra cash, or someone who works a rotating shift else where, sometimes the days line up.

Scholze Family Farms in Humbird, Wisc., is the family business of brothers Theo and Will Scholze. Both brothers formerly pursued off-farm careers in the electrical industry before deciding to buy the family farm in 2013. “We decided there was more opportunity to be on a farm – both career wise and to be an asset to the community we grew up in. It was something to come back to that we enjoyed,” said Theo.

Since last year, Scholze Family Farms has been participating in the Dairy Feed in Focus Program, which supports the US dairy industry’s Net Zero Initiative by providing resources, information and financial benefits to farmers. The program has helped the Scholzes review their standard operating procedures, change how they handle nutrients, forage and more.
