The In a Pickle Festival is coming to Rosenberg — and this time, we’re leveling it up in a way Texas has never seen before.
Introducing the FIRST-EVER
PICKLES VS ANIME FESTIVAL
Get ready, Texas — the largest pickle festival in Texas is hitting the road and bringing all the briny, bold, and beautifully bizarre fun to Rosenberg for the first time ever. This special edition is an Anime & Pickle Foodie Fest, where crunchy meets kawaii and fandom collides with flavor.
Here’s what to expect:
150+ unique vendors
15+ pickle canners offering classic favorites and wild, creative flavors
Anime-inspired foods and treats
Pickle-eating and pickle-drinking contests
Live music and entertainment
Pet parades, exclusive merch, and totally dill-icious food
A fun, family-friendly, cosplay-welcomed atmosphere
And so much more.
Time Line:
12:00 PM: Pickled Pet Parade
1:20 PM: Home Canning Pickle Contest (Entries due by 12:20 PM)
1:40 PM: Kids Pickle Eating Contest (Ages 8-16)
2:00 PM: Kids Pickle Juice Drinking Contest
2:30 PM: Adults Pickle Eating Contest (Ages 17+)
3:00 PM: Adults Pickle Juice Drinking Contest
3:30 PM: Cosplay Contest
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to top contestants!
Pickle Contest Details:
Pickle Contest Participants: Arrive 10 minutes before your event in front of the stage near the contest table.
Home Canners: Submit 1 pint of unlabeled pickles with your contact info in a sealed envelope at the information desk. Judging criteria include appearance, texture, and flavor.

Pepper Jelly Chicken

Ingredients:
2 large chicken breasts (use large, thick breasts so it doesn’t overcook)
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Smoked Paprika
5.2 oz. Garlic and Herb Boursin or Herb cream cheese
6 TBS Jelly Girl Pepper jam
8 Ritz crackers
2 TBS melted butter

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Season the chicken breasts generously on both sides with the seasonings listed.
3. Add them to a lightly oiled, oven-safe skillet and cook for about 3 minutes on each side or until they are golden and seared. (Do not fully cook the chicken breasts as they will continue to cook in the oven later.)
4. While the chicken cooks, smash the Ritz crackers in a zip lock bag until crumbled, then stir them into the melted butter until they are fully coated.
5. Remove the skillet from the heat and top the chicken with the entire package of garlic and herb Boursin, the pepper jelly and buttered cracker crumbs. (This part is forgiving so you don’t have to be exact in measuring. I do recommend layering everything on thick. The more sauce the merrier!)
6. Bake at 450 for about 10 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
I recommend serving with mashed potatoes and your favorite green vegetable!

I have been busy whipping up some of our most popular flavors along with some seasonal items as well, so come stop by to graba jar of our delicious jams or a jar of our one of a kind pickles.

Today is the day! The Mardi Gras Festival And Parade will be held in Town Center Park - Kingwood today 11am-3pm! Live zydeco band, great foods from multiple food vendors, gumbo cook off, New Orleans style cocktails, beer, bull riding, vendor shopping, and a parade!
