Croissant Inspired Sourdough.

I’ve been experimenting with bringing some of the qualities I love about a croissant into a naturally leavened sourdough loaf. The goal wasn’t to make a croissant—it was to create a loaf with a crisp, buttery crust and a soft, tender interior while keeping the character of sourdough.

This is one of those bakes that has me excited to keep experimenting. 🥐🩷

🍫 Chocolate Heaven is making a return this weekend!

Rich chocolate sourdough loaded with melty chocolate pockets throughout.

I was trying to decide what to bake next, but Chocolate Heaven keeps calling my name. ❤️

There’s just something about slicing into a loaf and finding all those chocolate pockets.

I’ve been wanting to create a Mediterranean-inspired sourdough, so I experimented with Kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and a subtle blend of herbs.

The kitchen smelled amazing while it baked, but the real test was the first slice. Thankfully, it was every bit as good as I’d hoped. The olives, tomatoes, and herbs all complement each other without any one flavor taking over.

This one definitely earned a spot in my specialty rotation, and I already can’t wait to make it again. 🤍

The sourdough cinnamon rolls were a success. 😊

The sourdough added something extra, but not in an overpowering way. They were soft, fluffy and gooey in the middle. The cinnamon flavor came through in every bite, and the frosting melted right into the warm rolls.

If you didn’t know they were sourdough, you probably wouldn’t guess it—they weren’t tangy, just flavorful.

This weekend’s bake is a special family request.

Trying sourdough cinnamon rolls for the very first time. I’ve made plenty of traditional cinnamon rolls over the years, but this will be my first sourdough version.

Jalapeño loaves are baking and these things showed OUT overnight 😳🔥🍞

I opened the fridge this morning and just stood there staring for a second 😂

Apparently the yeast decided to go completely feral because these loaves outgrew my normal pans overnight.
