The crew is all home and settled after our trip to the 2026 Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo with full hearts ❤️

𝗟𝗢𝗧 𝟴 - 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝟰𝟭 (pictured) was named Champion Purebred Gelbvieh Bull and 𝗟𝗢𝗧 𝟲 - 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗬 𝗡𝟬𝟳 stood second in class behind the Overall Champion. Proud of these bulls and how they represented what we're doing here at ThunderStruck Cattle Co.

We're thankful for our friends, fellow Gelbvieh breeders, the cattlemen and women who stopped by the stalls, as well as the bidders online and at the show! These two dudes are headed to repeat buyers.

We used the Headline bull from Warner Beef Genetics to add look, performance and an exciting EPD package. We thought he'd work on our larger framed Gelbvieh females.

Lot 6's Switchblade dam has consistently put bulls in the sale pen, including our high seller from last year's BHSS. She brings frame, longevity and structural correctness to any mating.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘁 𝟴 𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 + 𝗱𝗮𝗺.

When we first saw the Ascendance bull (first picture) from Hojer Gelbvieh Ranch, we were intrigued. All that grow and look, and a great EPD package. We were excited to use him on our higher percentage Gelbvieh females.

Lot 8's dam, (affectionately called "Peanut Butter"), has the best attitude and the most rib shape of anything on the farm. She just looks like she will make bulls, and that's our business. She really sold on us on these Whirlwind cattle. (pictures 2 + 3)
