I started smoking in 2018, out of work and doing odd jobs and gigs to get by. That year I met Mike Moran, owner of MoMo BBQ Company and National Award winner for BBQ and his sauces, Mike ended up becoming my mentor, answering questions and giving me guidance to improve my craft. I smoked everything I could
to gain as much knowledge as possible the next two years, including desserts. The 1st year of the pandemic I survived on cheesecake sales. Oddly enough, in 2021, Mike needed a cook at MoMo's and I was able to further my education working beside one of the best. Through the guidance of a 30 year BBQ veteran, I've developed my own rubs, sauces and recipes and have purchased a trailer to do some events on my own. I've run the kitchen for a small bar weekend side project, serving up all of my original recipes and sauces. You will see me at MoMo's restaurant, in the MoMo's concession trailer and just maybe at an event of my own. That BBQ Guy's trailer will be out and about for events come mid-May 2022.
