Yesterday at 8:47 AM, we received a call about a feathered fugitive (pictured) causing a ruckus near E. Craig and S. Metts! 🐔 Chief Jack and Officer McClish swooped in like poultry pros. 🕵️♂️🐓
With the assistance of our vigilant citizens, the suspect was surrounded (after a brief chase) and was safely apprehended! 🏃♂️🍗

The LAST indoor market is this Saturday! While we’re preparing for the Barr Street comeback, we invite you to enjoy this episode of “Serenades with Dotsie.”
First flock of 2019 is home! 1,222 chicks to call our own. ❤️ Next round comes in just a few weeks! #chicken #organic
Mangalitsa update. This video is from last month when the weather was still a tad chilly and before the littlest piglets were born. Ben and Don interact with (and rub down) the pigs every day. They work hard to build trust so the pigs stay docile and friendly. They still don't turn their backs for long. The only one they do NOT go in with is our boar Arthur. He cannot (and, by nature, should not) be trusted with humans. They also walk the pens to ensure the fencing is stable and that nothing has made its way into the pen that shouldn't be there (deer, fawn, geese, chickens, etc). Everyone on the farm is doing well!
It's been a week full of babies here at the farm! Here's a quick video of a couple new arrivals! Greta gave us 2 healthy piglets last week and Agnes gave us 4 more the next day! Sorry for the dark video, but we didn't want to bother Agnes after delivery. Both mamas are doing great!
The piglets are getting sooooo big! The boys are ALMOST done with the new fencing so we can get these babies out to fresh pasture!
It's CHICKEN DAY! Our 2017 bird season has officially begun! Here's Don with a little video about day one for our little chicks!
Ben and Natalie will be at the market this morning. Come on down and see us at Parkview Field from 9am-1pm! In the meantime, here's a little video of the piglets! They are two weeks old today. Agnes and her babes are all healthy, happy, and spoiled rotten.
Mitchell Maibach is keeping things HOPPING here at the Ft. Wayne's Farmers Market! We LOVE when Mitchell sings for us!
Here is Ben, our farm owner, and his Mom, Dotsie hand feeding the chicks some organic clover from our fields. They love this stuff!
