Hoping to support this PA farm and get some more natives in the ground this Spring!

Plants that are native to an area provide the most benefit for the local ecosystem, providing food and habitat for pollinators like butterflies, as well as birds.
To get mature plants, it is faster and easiest to work with bare root seedlings, roots, and corms, as opposed to starting from seeds.
Here are some PA natives we offer that can be ordered now, and delivered or picked up whenever you like from now until May.
You can order from our web site, www.HilltopHollowFarm.com
Most plants are $4.95 or less for 10 or more. ......

We really need to rethink our current food systems.
Farmers should be able make a living feeding you!

DON'T BLAME THE FARMER! While the cost of this year's Thanksgiving meal will be up, recurring research by NFU (National Farmers Union) makes clear that the 'farm gate' prices farmers receive are NOT the culprit. Instead, corporate monopolies are the ones raiding your wallet!
Most farmers receive just a tiny percentage of the retail food dollar. NFU researchers have charted the 'Farmer's Share' of the retail food dollar for decades. NFU calculates - that on average - farmers receive just 14.3 cents out of every Food Dollar.
"According to USDA, off-farm costs, including marketing, processing, wholesaling, distribution and retailing, account for more than 80 cents of every food dollar spent in the United States."
We are longtime members of NFU, America's second-largest farmer's organization. This link provides additional examples of the big gaps between what you pay and what farmers receive. Caleb, Megan & Jim https://nfu.org/farmers-share/
