WHAT???!!! - QUARTZITE AND ENGINEERED STONE stain and crack? You Bet! More often than realized. I can smugly report that after 35 years of fabricating/installing acrylic solid surface these problems are rarely encountered; and if a crack is repaired you won't see it.
