It’s time to share our Hampshire Boar entry for the Indiana State Fair. He’s a QB Suite x Coming Home. (1/18/22) Granddam is the great Guyer Sow standing at Rodenbeck’s. From the first hour his destiny was to stay intact. A pile of muscle and ton of bone in a short backed barrow making package. His feet are big, skeleton is correct and maturity is right for his age. This winter marks our 30th Anniversary raising showpigs. This season we’ve gotten back to our roots and ramped up our Hampshire breeding program. By adding in a couple of gilts from reputable programs we feel like this was a great success. Be on the look out for sale postings to come. This Mastermind x Family Tradition raised by Gary and Kyle Fisher and shown by Hunter Wenger was Grand Overall Gilt in Wells County, Class 17 winner in Indy and 4th Overall Division 3 Duroc Gilt. Congratulations to the Wenger Family. She’s had a hell of a run this summer.

Farrowing is in full swing and off to a great start. Litters will include Landrace, Yorkshire, Spot, Hampshire, and Crossbred. Farrowing dates are scattered throughout January until the first of February. We will be selling most of the off the farm with select entries in the Field of Dreams. Today was ultrasound day. We’re excited for what’s coming in January. 2 Yorkshire litters, 3 Crossbred litters, 2 Hampshire litters, 1 Spot litter and 1 Duroc litter. We’re still waiting on our Landrace and another Crossbred to pass over. It’s gonna be a busy start to 2019!
