BAKER COUNTY SHERIFF"S OFFICE UPDATES EVACUATIONS FOR POWDER RIVER & FOX FIRE
- Huntington under Level 2 -
BAKER COUNTY - The Baker County Sheriff's Office has expanded evacuations (Level 2 and Level 3) for the Fox Fire and Powder River Fire.
The expansion of the fire evacuation zones is being done out of an abundance of caution to ensure affected residents have plenty of time to prepare if they need to leave. This decision is based on the prediction of high temperatures and windy conditions for the next few days leading to unstable fire behavior.
Baker County Search and Rescue members will be in the area throughout the afternoon working on notifications.
Level 3 (GO NOW): North of the Burnt River, west of the Snake River, east of I-84 / Manning Creek / Iron Mountain, South of Sardine Creek Rd / Powder River / Brownlee Reservoir
Level 2 (BE SET): Northern Section of Map: North of Manning Creek, east of I-84 / Unity Creek/ Ritter Creek, west of Sardine Creek Road / Iron Mountain, south of Love Reservoir Road / Lawrence Creek Road
