On Sunday- John and I will be at this farmers market selling our Honey and Honey related product - like John’s amazing hot sauces and hot honey. I’m gonna try to convince John to bring his guitar and play some songs. I’ll have some baked goods as well. There will be a fire pit and we get to hang out with some really great group of people at a local beer brewery. Bethany will also be there selling her jewelry. Come by and hang out with us! 4-8 pm.

Our bees love sunflowers and so do the two American Goldfinches that visit us daily! For the bees, they are a valuable food source for them and other pollinators!

Adventurous day on April 1st- heard a beautiful sound of bees swarming and we were able to successfully get the Queen in one of the Nuc boxes and hundreds of worker bees followed. Checked some frames that were dripping with honey and got to extract about 4 cups and we sampled our very first taste of this magnificent food.

We’re a little new to the ’making your own beeswax’ thing, although needed to wax some frames. Didn’t think I had any molds to pour it in, but then remembered….
