Yesterday, I awarded my last requirement of the fiscal year end. For my fellow government contracting professionals, you know what that feeling looks like. Whew! So when my babe asked me where shall we celebrate, I was intentional about not only the location but also the vibe.
Alabama is just now feeling the fall vibe, now that temperatures went from hot as you know what, to a comfortable low humidity and almost a perfect crisp afternoon temperature that breathes comfort after a long hot summer.
We intentionally wanted something close (Mid-City), with a patio and good Happy Hour (HH) specials. We landed at Grille at Main. The way I was exhausted about work, I didn’t put too much effort in finding a location. So I simply typed in "HH, Patio" to my ChatGPT and this restaurant popped up.
I've only been here a couple of times and sometimes forget about it. But tonight's experience reminded me of hidden/forgotten gems that are in Huntsville. This place checked all the boxes. 1) Good HH specials; 2) patio; 3) great ambiance. The food was mediocre I will admit (as far as HH specials), but the atmosphere made it "pleasurable"😉.
The patio, which had the fountain in the background, was super cute and romantic. Just imagine, a fall evening with a romantic backdrop, or a vibe that also speaks to an evening with your girls or coworkers. I'm a fan of creating your own experience to whatever kind of mood you are in. This place, specifically their patio, creates a blank space to make it your own!
