I love dessert. No meal is complete without it. Find this flourless chocolate cake at local22durham. The veggie burger and sweet potato fries are also crazy good. Next time you see Farmer Dale, ask him about his small plate.

Shouting out here. The benefit of having a friend visit and request dinner in Durham. 💜🌞😉

Hello Monday! This is Amethyst. She’s one of the eight kittens we’ve been fostering. Three have found their forever homes. Yeah! One kitten at a time I keep telling myself.

Farmer Dale and I have made weekly treks to the caswell_county_aps getting the kitties their vaccinations, taking supplies, and visiting the many, many adorable dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens seeking loving homes.

When animals are in a shelter, they are safe, fed, and cared for. The staff and volunteers are heroes, caring with so much devotion and love!

From week to week I have seen the inner light dim of the sweetest pets ever. Their faces, the deep sadness, keeps me up at night. I tell each of them that it is going to be okay. Your family is coming for you.

One kitten at a time I keep telling myself. Eight fosters. Three adoptions. Five to go. The farm is partnered with the Animal Protection Society of Caswell County to sponsor the adoption of the fabulous five fosters waiting for you.

PLEASE consider visiting the Animal Protection Society of Caswell County (or the closest shelter near you) today, tomorrow, or this weekend. Let your next pet choose you. They will, I promise.

❓❓❓ DID YOU KNOW❓❓❓

So many millions of birds are migrating to their winter homes now that some weather professionals see the masses on their radar system. Wow, right?

Did you know that birds fly south at night? Light pollution is a thing. Yes, for us and especially for migrating birds.

Now is the perfect time to put your outdoor lights on a timer.

Your neighbors will thank you too. 🌞💜🐦‍⬛
