Jennifer Glenister owns and operates New Morning Farm which was founded by Jim and Moie Crawford in 1972. We are on 95-acres of wooded land and certified-organic vegetable fields in the mountains of south-central Pennsylvania. New Morning Farm grows more than 40 different crops, all certified organic, on 30 acres of cultivated land. Crops include herbs in addition to most standard garden vegetables. We grow veggies and go to markets nearly year round, managed by a team of 10 growers and apprentices, and employs approximately 15 folks at the height of the season. The farming apprenticeship program is well-developed after 50 years and has helped a number of aspiring growers to get started in farming.
