Good evening, everybody! 🐣🐥
Thought I'd come down and show off these adorable little fluff balls a little better tonight!
They're still not quite used to me yet, since I haven't been able to spend much time down here the last few days. Between work and trying to get that car back together, it's been a little hectic! 😂🔧
But we did, in fact, end up with 8 healthy little babies! ❤️
🐣 4 BBS Brahmas
🐣 4 Black Copper Marans
And let me tell you, they are just the cutest little things! 😍
I'm hoping to spend some more time with them this weekend, get them a little more comfortable around me, and hopefully get them out for some better up-close videos so y'all can really see these little beauties!
But anywho, enough about our little feathered dinosaurs! 😂 How was everybody's day? Anything exciting happen, or are y'all just ready for the weekend like I am?

Good rainy evening everyone gonna be another couple of days of working on cars, this time mine. So please dont think we are ignoring anybody on returning engagement just gotta take care of the car that carries me 90 miles a day. Hoping to get this done tonight so I can do the rack and lower control arms tomorrow. Hope everyone has had a good evening. Whats your weather like?

Good evening, everybody! 🐣🐥
The babies have officially moved into their new home! 🏡❤️
These little fluffballs were getting pretty rowdy in the incubator, so it was time to get them settled into the brooder!
We've got their food and water ready, showed everyone where everything is, and they're already eating, drinking, and exploring like they own the place! 😂
One thing we like to do during that first week is offer slightly warm water to help keep those little babies from getting chilled while drinking. Of course, keeping the brooder at the proper temperature is important too!
We're going to let these little guys settle in tonight, and hopefully tomorrow we'll get them out for a closer look so everyone can see our newest additions to KanDy Poultry Works! ❤️
Now we've got a question for all our chicken people! Do you move your chicks into the brooder as soon as they're dry and fluffy, or do you leave them in the incubator a little longer? 🤔🐣

🌙🐣 Good evening, everybody! We've got another baby! 🐣🎉
We're still sitting at just one little BBS Brahma baby, but we've officially welcomed our first Black Copper Marans chick into the world! 🥰🐥
We've got quite a few more eggs pipped, so things are definitely starting to get exciting around here! We'll be keeping a close eye on the incubator throughout the evening, and hopefully we'll have a few more fluffy little surprises to share with y'all tonight or first thing in the morning!
Now comes the hardest part of hatching eggs... trying to be patient and not checking the incubator every five minutes! 😂

🐣🐥 GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! 🐥🐣
What a GREAT little surprise to wake up to this morning! 😍 Our first little BBS Brahma baby has officially made its grand entrance into the world! 🥳🐣
We've also got another BBS Brahma egg pipped, AND contrary to what I said in the video, we've got a Black Copper Marans egg pipped too! 👀🥚
Looks like hatch day is officially underway here at KanDy Poultry Works, and I couldn't be more excited! ❤️🐥 Hopefully we'll have a few more fluffy little surprises waiting for us when we get home today!
🤞 Keep those fingers crossed for a successful hatch!

Good evening, everybody! 🐣🐔 We’re officially down to ONE full day left on these hatching eggs, and we already have our first pip! One of the BBS Brahmas has decided to get the party started. 👀
Nothing from the Black Copper Marans yet that I can see, but hopefully by the time I get home tomorrow we’ll have a baby or two waiting on us! 🤞🐥 Keep your fingers crossed for a good hatch — I’ll definitely keep everyone updated!
We’ve been a little quiet on here this weekend because apparently I traded chicken chores for mechanic duty. 😂🔧 Got some good news on one car…and some not-so-good news on my work car. Looks like I get to replace front-end suspension parts AGAIN after only about 20,000 miles. 😩
But enough about cars — IT’S ALMOST HATCH DAY! 🐣

Good evening, everyone! 🐣❤️
We've only got a few days left until hatch day, and I'm getting EXCITED! 😁 We've got 12 BCMs (Black Copper Marans) and I believe 8 BBS Brahmas cooking away in the incubator! 🤞🥚 Hopefully, we'll have a bunch of healthy little peepers joining the KanDy crew soon!
I'm planning on putting them into lockdown tomorrow morning before work, then getting the brooder all ready tomorrow night when I get home. It's getting close, y'all! 🐣🐥❤️
As for the weekend plans... I might finally break down and start tearing apart that Sturdi-Built shed. 😂🔨 Or I might find something else to get into. Never a dull moment around here!

Very valuable life lesson, learned tonight. Eggs with cracks are for the trash not the incubator. Even if you did seal the Crack with wax. The smell is absolutely not ok and it air flow does not help it either. I think we are just gonna sell this house and move.

Good evening, everyone! 🐔
Just got the Leghorn’s feet wrapped back up. One foot is healing really nicely, but the other one needed a little more attention, so I had to remove a bit more from it. She’s getting around a lot better, though, so we’re definitely heading in the right direction! ❤️
Now I’m just gonna hang out here with the chickens for a little bit, get the feeders filled up, and then finally head inside. It’s been a hectic week so far, and I’m TIRED! 😂
But sometimes there’s nothing better than ending a long day hanging out with the chickens. 🐔❤️

Good evening, everybody! 🐔🌙
Just out here doing a late-night chicken check after getting off work way later than I wanted to tonight. Needless to say, the ladies were NOT impressed with my timing! 😂
Got the eggs collected, gave everybody some treats, and of course had to check on Black Betty and the babies. ❤️🐣 Then made my rounds to make sure everybody was settled in for the night.
Tomorrow we’re hopefully going to get the Leghorn’s foot re-bandaged and take another look at her feet. She’s getting around A LOT better today, so that’s definitely encouraging! 🙏🐔
Now it’s time for me to get inside, get some supper, and hopefully get some sleep! 😂
