Sold the balance of our Kathadin flock! Been a great run, lots of learning, never raising sheep before we had a lot to learn. I won’t miss the cold winter chores and lambing in the night but there was a sense of excitement when you brought new life into the world. Next plan is to buy smaller sheep/goats in the spring and feed out until fall.

Great lambing season on the farm, 9 ewes, 1 to go, and didn't lose any! 13 females and 5 males. Shelley and Becky even got to help out while I was away for a work trip! Always an adventure and lambs have discovered they like jumping into my bale rings!

Lack of posts haven't meant a slow summer/fall! Ewes are getting big- due dates starting in Mid-January, lets hope for a lot of twins! Pouring concrete in 1st barn w/ Kent Wierson Show pig adventure starting this year so pouring slanted floors & drains. Rolling into 2022 with a lot of big plans! Happy Holidays!

Successful Kathadin Sheep season! 8 ram lambs sold averaged 105 lbs Livestock Sales Drake and I loaded our sheep pen/trailer early and we took the rest of the family over to watch the sale. Raising these sheep from birth definitely gives you a better appreciation for what goes on to our tables! 2 ewes sold to our cousins! Hope for more girls next year! Shelley Klingbeil Kent Klingbeil
