Come watch with us tonight! We’ll have our focus on the beer so you can focus on the game.

And in case you’re curious, I’m rooting for the team that is currently winning their game 37-13 🧡♥️

It's #𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆!!! This is where we drop in to answer a whole variety of questions we are asked mostly during our open days (most Thursdays from 5:00 to 9:00 and Saturdays from 2:00 to 9:00😉) but also at festivals (like the Millstream Craft Beer Bash last Sunday—so fun!) and all over town(s).

Today, we're again answering the question:
"𝗜 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱?"

𝗧𝗟/𝗗𝗥:
We WERE. For a hot minute.

But now, we're open a couple days a week, doing what we love: brewing beer and sharing that beer with our neighbors.

And yes, it's working for us.
And no, we are no longer for sale.
And burnout is a slow road to come back from.

But we are steadily coming back.
And we are still working on what that looks like.
And there WILL be some fun stuff coming out in the next couple of months.

I don't normally request "the share," but I invite you to spread the word in whatever way works for you that we're still here and we're still a great place to .

While we understand that it's just now September, "Christmas in July" has past, and there are many more events before real Christmas, this #𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 is all about beer traditions.

Pictured is one of our family traditions: since Henry was born, we've always left Santa beer and donuts because, as we explained it, Santa was probably tired of all the cookies and milk and would appreciate our mixing it up a bit.😉

What's YOUR favorite beer tradition? Could be historical (like Oktoberfest), a Fenceline tradition you might have (like always hosting your fantasy football draft here), or perhaps a personal beer tradition like ours.

Let us know in the comments and we’ll see you tomorrow for one of Fenceline’s traditions: !

It's almost lights on time! And here are the deets for the food we'll have available today and tomorrow (but only while supplies last):

𝗛𝗔𝗠 & 𝗝𝗔𝗠 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗪𝗜𝗖𝗛—Black Forest ham, brie, Honey Truncheon Belgian Strong fig jam, Granny Smith apple, & fresh greens, on a ciabatta bun.

𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗬 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗛 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗪𝗜𝗖𝗛—Oven-roasted turkey, Handy Andy Stout-candied bacon, Picket Cream Ale peppercorn ranch spread, cheddar cheese, fresh greens, red onion, & tomato on a ciabatta bun.

Both come with your choice of 𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗕𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗗 𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗗 (complete with Handy Andy Stout-candied bacon!) or 𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗣𝗦.

***Please order at the bar; no holds***

All sandwiches will come to you packaged to-go, but you're welcome to hang and eat with us if you'd like!

Those cups are standing at attention to remind you that during Huxley Prairie Festival, you may take our beer to go and wander the event (obviously only if you are over 21, have a wristband, and stay within the event's perimeters).

We're gearing up for a great day in Huxley!!! We will be open today (Friday, August 28) from 5:00 until maybe 10—depends on the activity during Huxley Prairie Festival, which is right out our front door (with a beer, wine, and spirits tasting from 5:00-8:00!).

Details forthcoming on the two sandwich options we will have but wanted to come in early and let you know that last night after we closed, *this guy* finished prepping the 𝗣𝗨𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗦 that we will have for you!

Two flavors:

𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗞𝗘—with French vanilla pudding, Honey Truncheon Belgian Strong, whipped vodka, cake vodka, heavy cream and whipped topping.

𝗧𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗔 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗘—with lime and cheesecake pudding, Picket Cream Ale, tequila, heavy cream, and whipped topping.

***No pudding shots were harmed in the taking of this picture***

Welcome back to this week's installment of in which we answer questions about Fenceline and our path to where we are today. Today's question is:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲?

As many of you know, we gutted this 115+ year-old building and renovated the inside mostly ourselves on nights and weekends. We did not handle the electrical (which involved replacing and upgrading 100% of our power source and wiring) or the plumbing and HVAC.

Jonathan and I not-surprisingly have two different answers. I immediately said: "the floor," which included removing about 5 layers of different floor types (including brick pavers in the entryway), removing and replacing a significant portion of the dining room floor (and re-sistering the floor joists below), and then laying down what you see today. And yes, I did it on the diagonal as I knew the building isn't totally square... which would have infuriated me when I got to the other side😆

Jonathan said: "the ceiling." The top pic from 2018 was *before* we removed all the plaster and lath, reinsulated, and sheetrocked it.

What's your favorite part of our building (and then I'll let you know how much of a pain it was to execute)?
