🎨🚨 BREAKING NEWS: AI SLOP IS BACK!!… but our HUMAN SLOP contest has been extended to 10/25!!😂🍺

Well, that didn’t go quite as planned.

Our week-long experiment in eliminating AI-generated artwork has officially ended, and we’re happy to report that Oak Bay’s Digital Art Department has returned to work! 🎉

Apparently, they were getting tired of watching management attempt to draw stick figures on notebook paper. 😂

BUT SOMETHING UNEXPECTED HAPPENED…

Our little HUMAN SLOP DRAWING CONTEST has taken on a life of its own!

Customers have been grabbing markers, creating masterpieces (and some spectacular disasters 😂), and filling our walls with their artwork.

And we’re LOVING every minute of it!

So while the machines are officially back on the payroll…

WE’RE EXTENDING THE HUMAN SLOP DRAWING CONTEST THROUGH SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25TH! 🎨🖍️

HERE’S HOW TO ENTER:

🖍️ Make a purchase at Oak Bay and grab some paper and markers.

🍺 Draw something Oak Bay related. B**r, hot dogs, our tanks, our Captains… anything goes!

🖼️ We’ll proudly display your artwork on our growing gallery wall.

📸 After October 25th, we’ll post the entries on our page.

Well, apparently our decision to give Canva, AI, and the entire Oak Bay digital art department the week off has created a bit of a problem.

We still need artwork.

And judging by my latest hand-drawn masterpiece, it’s becoming painfully obvious that I shouldn’t be the one creating it. 😂

SO WE’RE OUTSOURCING THE JOB... TO YOU!

That’s right. This week, we’re turning Oak Bay into a world-class art studio. And by “world-class,” we mean we’re handing you a piece of paper and some markers. 🖍️
