Middle of Veraison on the High Plains. Benjamin Calais checked on our 2 workhorse varieties for French Connection Wines: Rowland Taylor Vineyards Picpoul blanc and Farmhouse Vineyards Counoise. The year has been challenging, winter freeze, spring frost and hailstorms have taken their tolls on high plains vineyards but those 2 varieties are showing very high quality potential. Probably looking at a slightly early season, just a week or so early. Thank you to the vineyard teams for all the hard work to turn world class fruit on a complicated season.
