Great afternoon at French Connection Wines. Sitting on the outdoor patio, enjoying the beautiful rolling hills of Hye, TX and tasting wines of Texas grown Rhône varietals using French methods of fermentation. Rather unique wine tasting experience with the pairing of French potato chips. Clear winner was the 2021 Chateauneuf De Hye (49% Syrah, 33% Mourvèdre, 18% Grenache). Paired with the truffle potato chip, so delicious. The friendly, knowledgeable staff made the visit quite enjoyable.

Enjoyable wine tasting at Persissos Vineyard. Our host, Greg was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Wasn’t part of the tasting but had a glass of the 2022 Anglianico. Completely different but quite tasty.

The enhanced tasting experience was awesome. Starting with a glass of wine as we walked in, to the tour of the vineyard, to drawing my own barrel tasting with a wine thief, to the small plate of wagyu and mushrooms paired with wines made for a memorable experience. Johnathan’s passion for the vineyard and wines made the whole experience memorable. Thank you Uplift.
