What a great weekend at the Boon Companions Autumn Romance show! I was a little sad that I had to leave yearling buck Brixxen at home, leaving me with only one buck to show. But when the only one you take comes home a finished champion... There's not one thing to be upset about!!

He's now- CH (pending) Rocky Redbird Rdg Boardwalk!
He was Grand in Ring 1, Grand and Best of Breed in Ring 3, Reserve in Ring 4, and Reserve in Ring 5!

Boardwalk is 2 years old, and is the sire of Rocky Redbird Rdg Burlesque, who was the 2024 ADGA Junior National Champion Sable. Burlesque was 3rd place with 2nd place udder yearling milker at the 2025 ADGA National Show.

Congratulations to Marianne L. Wright on your Best in Show win with your beautiful boy Mallon, and finishing Geronimo! It was a great Sable show!

Home from MO State Fair! It was a hot one, but I had a great time even with some of the issues I had. The girls were not doing the greatest with the heat and I had to scratch Trinket from the Jr show ...and Burlesque was recovering from mastitis, so she was there to help make numbers but had no milk. But, all in all it was a great time with good friends and I'm looking forward to next year! I actually got to enjoy an early morning walk about this morning and visited the giant rubber duck, the MODot gardens, rabbits, and draft horses 😊

I've been working on fall breeding plans, and have decided that I still need to reduce numbers just a bit. It never gets easier deciding who to let go, but it's necessary to keep the herd manageable. I've retained this does' gorgeous doeling, that I will be breeding to freshen as a yearling, and I also still have her dam in the herd that I'd like to breed one last time before retirement.

Rocky Redbird Rdg Razzl Dazzle - 3 years old, 2nd freshening. She has her dry leg. She is milking very well, and has been a heavy milker this year - although I do have her down to once a day milking at this point as I planned to dry her off soon. She will be shown this weekend at the MO State Fair.

Haven't posted in awhile, as life has kept me busy! Kidding season was later this year, with kiddings in March and May. Ending up with only 3 doelings (and more bucklings than necessary 😂) I've been a bit reluctant to decide if I was going to let any doelings go. But after much thought I have decided to make one available, and will be getting pictures of her this weekend. She is sister to Burlesque, who was the 2024 Jr National Champion doe. (They have the same dam, and the sire of the doeling is 1/2 brother to Burlesque's sire). I will be attending National's this year, so transportation there could be arranged!

Had a great time at the Boon Companions Autumn Romance Show this past weekend! The boys did well and they are very much looking forward to breeding season lol...

Klisse's TA Cornelius was Grand and Best of Breed in ring 1, and Reserve in rings 4, 5, and 6

Rocky Redbird Rdg Phantom was 1st place in ring 1, 3, and 5

Rocky Redbird Rdg Brixxen was Junior Champion in all 6 rings

I have way too many keeper doelings, and unfortunately I just can't keep them all. Here is a chance for someone to pick up a beautiful young doe, from some amazing genetics. I have been trying to decide who to let go of for months... And have finally decided that since I have both maternal and paternal sisters, I would be ok with letting this pretty girl go... preferably to a show home. She is pictured first, then her dam and 4 sisters.

I will be attending the Boon Companions buck show Labor Day weekend, and I could transport her there.

This has been a tough decision, but I still have too many bucks for the number of does that I now have. This gentleman is in the tank, and I've retained 3 of his beautiful daughters. So I'm making him available to continue his work in another herd.

*B Klisse's TA Cornelius - 3 year old American Sable buck

Pictured are 3 of his lovely first freshening daughters. All have milked 9 pounds or more as first fresheners, and continue to increase production. All three have their dry legs, with one having been Jr Best Doe in Show. I have a 4th daughter from this year I'm retaining that has not yet been out to a show.

He has a stellar pedigree that he's pulling these beautiful genetics from...His dam SGCH Klisse’s KPOH Salome 5*M FS91 (EEEE) @ 04-06, was 2015 ADGA Reserve National Champion. His sire’s dam is SG Jen-Mae-Ka Kids Alibi 3*M and his sire's sire is SG ++*B Noble-Springs Dace.

He's been a great addition and asset to my herd. I'm looking forward to pulling him out of the tank and using him in the future.

Lastly, this would not be complete without pictures of how this big lovable lug likes to take his naps, and give me my daily dose of "Is that goat alive?" Lol...
