At Potandon giving back means helping strengthen the communities where we live, work, and grow. We’re proud to share a few of the ways we’ve been able to support our Eastern Idaho community this month:

🎒 Supporting Students Through F.I.S.H.
Friends in Service Here (F.I.S.H.), part of the Community Food Basket of Idaho Falls, helps provide backpacks filled with needed supplies to local students identified by teachers, counselors and school staff. We’re grateful for organizations like F.I.S.H. that work quietly and compassionately to make sure students have what they need to succeed.

🍎 Bonneville School District #93
We paid off negative lunch balances at all 14 elementary schools in District #93: Bridgewater, Cloverdale, Discovery, Fairview, Falls Valley, Hillview, Iona, Mountain Valley, Rimrock, Summit Hills, Tiebreaker, Ucon, Willow Creek and Woodland Hills. Our goal is simple: help provide greater food security and ensure students can focus on learning, growing and being kids. We were also honored to have this effort featured in the District 93 newsletter, reaching more than 12,000 people in our community.

🥔 The Idaho Foodbank: Mission in Motion
We had the opportunity to see hunger-relief efforts in action through The Idaho Foodbank’s Mission in Motion. We followed the journey of food from The Idaho Foodbank to community partners and ultimately to individuals and families across Eastern Idaho. Seeing the collaboration behind these programs reinforced something we believe deeply: when businesses, schools and community organizations work together, we can make a meaningful difference. We’re grateful to everyone doing the work every day to feed families, support students and strengthen our communities.

🎳 Cheering on a Local Youth Athlete
We were proud to support Danaka Alldredge-Bowling as she competed at the 2026 Junior Gold Championships in the Minneapolis St. Paul area. Danaka and her family traveled more than 1,200 miles with Spuddy Buddy and Lil’ Sprout along for the ride! Congratulations to Danaka on making it through the first day of qualifying and representing Idaho on the national stage.

Supporting the next generation of agriculture means investing in the young people who are already helping shape its future. Through Sprouts Cares, We were proud to support local 4-H youth at the Bingham County 4-H Auction, where Potandon purchased two market sheep raised by Mady and Masen Olsen, whose family owns Rich Lane Farms.

🐑 Mady Olsen, a 9th-year 4-H member — $2,300
🐑 Masen Olsen, a 4th-year 4-H member — $1,800
Together, Potandon contributed $4,100 to support their hard work and dedication.

But the impact doesn’t stop there. The sheep were donated back to the 4-H program to be processed, with the meat going to local charities, including food banks and shelters, extending that support from our agricultural community to families and neighbors who need it most.

We’re grateful to be part of an industry where growers, businesses, young people, and communities come together to make a difference. Congratulations to Mady, Masen, Kai, and all of the 4-H participants on their hard work!
