Yesterday was a BIG day for my Ollie—his very first day of pre-K! 🥹💙

And THIS is exactly why I was willing to drive 16 hours each way to California and back. I needed to get one last big dose of my Ollie in before summer came to an end and he headed off to school. ❤️

With only two more months of the farmers market before we head into the winter market season, I knew I needed to steal some precious Ollie time while I could. And boy, am I glad I did! 🥰

He is seriously the cutest, funniest, smartest, handsomest little guy. He makes me laugh, keeps me on my toes, and is just the BEST grandson a grandma could ask for. (And yes, technically he’s my only grandson…but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s my favorite! 😂❤️)

I’m so proud of this little guy and excited to watch him grow, learn, and take on this next adventure. I just wish time would slow down a little! 🥹❤️

Now it’s back to baking for me! 🐝🧁 We’ll be at the farmers market this Saturday, and I’ll be posting our menu tomorrow, so stay tuned! 🍪🍰

🥕🍰 CARROT CAKE EMERGENCY. 🍰🥕

Last week, I brought ONE pan’s worth of carrot cake. ONE. And you people bought it in under an hour. Then I spent the rest of the market watching you walk away with sadness in your eyes asking, “Where’s the carrot cake?” 😂

So yesterday, I baked **SIX ** pan’s worth! 48 slices…I did have a seventh pan, but Dan sold half of that pan to the neighbor. 😂

I’m leaving for my trip tomorrow, so PLEASE help me help you.

Tonight, the Idaho Falls Farmers’ Market is at Tautphaus Park from 5–9 p.m.! 🛍️

It’s going to be hotter than Hades, but grab the family and make an evening of it! 😎

The Idaho Falls Zoo and Funland are staying open, so you can see some animals (who may or may not be relatives of yours… I’m just saying 😏😂), ride some rides, and then swing by the Farmers Market for some goodies!

The Baking Bee Menu is Ready! 🐝

We’ve checked the forecast, and it looks like there may be some rain on Saturday. Hopefully it’s just a light sprinkle and not the “build an ark” kind of rain we saw a few weeks ago! 🤣

This week’s featured treat is our Strawberry Rhubarb Bar, made with rhubarb from our friends at itty bitty farms. 🍓 Be sure to stop by their booth at the market and check out their amazing produce, or visit their U-Pick stand on Lincoln Road.

And now for the carrot cake update…

Last week, I brought what felt like an outrageous amount of carrot cake and still sold out before the market ended. Then this week, the Carrot Cake Bites and Brownie Bites I provided for the Post Register’s Reader’s Choice Awards Gala disappeared in a hurry!

So yes, I’ve increased production again this week—but if carrot cake is on your must-have list, I highly recommend pre-ordering. Send me a message with your name and how many slices you’d like, and I’ll tuck them safely away in the cooler for you.

I am so excited and incredibly grateful to share that I received Silver for Best Bakery and Silver for Best Dessert this year!
