Would I ever intentionally buy polish, NO.
Polish chickens are just 🤷♀️.
This is Derp and she is as derpy as one can get. She was a resuce with her sister Louis
She runs into our shins all the time.
We constantly am dodging her so we are not tripping or stepping on her. When she scared she runs straight into what ever is infront of her.
She plops down randomly in any random spot to bask in the sun sometimes we think she is no longer her (she is just not mentally).
You can follow for minutes behind her and she never know and when she does catch a glimpse of you she starts just blindly running.
She require hair salon appointments as well as baths every other month , like....talk about high maintenence.
She perches in the most weird , abnormal spots not limited to a random 4x4inch square from a hog panel (size maybe off but its just one of the squares). On a random 4x4 in the middle of the yard. On a 4x4 on the porch of the shed , on the bach porch , on a garbage can , on a bowl in the middle of the coop floor.....
I'll open the front door sometimes and she is standing there and then freely walks inside like I invited her in.
If you pick her up prepare to be wind slapped 20000 times , and screaming like life just left her body.
She doesn't lay any eggs , she fooling me being in the nesting box.
The upside to Derp....she brings the comedy...need a laugh for the day just follow Derp around
