Our vision at Soul Blossom Farm is to build an internationally recognized micro-textile farm known for sustainable linen, nettle cloth, pure botanical dyes and hands-on educational experiences.

Our focus is on low-impact, heritage craft techniques (e.g. hand-spinning, natural dye vats, small batch weaving) that contribute to a local circular economy (soil to cloth) and an environmentally conscious farm with traceable production from seed to finished textile.

Our farm is both a textile studio and a living color garden. With each season we create small batch thread, cloth and color kits that honor the land and ancestral textile traditions. By recapturing the act of local cultivation and production, our process embodies “Ubuntu” - interdependence and community.

First day of the Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference was amazing! A highlight of the day was a trip to the Grand Traverse Bay Gitigaan (farm) to learn more about how the tribe is incoporating fish waste into their composting process.
