Bresse are considered the best tasting meat chickens in the world. Individual chickens are sold for up to one hund-red bucks in the best restaurants in France.
They are also true "dual purpose" chickens, so they make great layers with around 260 eggs per year. Hatch your own eggs and the roosters become an asset for great tasting meat, and keep the hens for eggs.
