Good morning. Let us begin by Thanking you for all the years of support & patronage as a customer & friend of the Original Herkimer County Cheese Co, Inc. This is what has enabled us to continuously be in business in the Mohawk Valley for the past 75 years & we very much appreciate your help in accomplishing this!
Our cheeses will continue to be available at our outlet store & online probably until about Labor Day, but we are in transition. Going forward Original Herkimer Cheese brand products will be made by Old Chatham Creamery (OCC) in Groton (near Cortland) NY. Old Chatham is a long standing & well respected manufacturer of Specialty Cheeses & very much wanted to continue making Original Herkimer Cheeses. We have been involved in a very thorough, thoughtful process for the past 2+ years in an effort to find a Company who could continue what we have built over the past 75 years & Old Chatham offered us the best opportunity to do this. We have every hope that the premium quality Of Original Herkimer Cheeses that you have enjoyed for all these years will continue to be available through OCC.
Again, even though the hours that our shop is open & the selection of products that you can buy or order from our shop & website may become more limited over the next 2 months, our store plans to be open until about Labor Day. OCC is working on a plan to combine the Herkimer Cheese website with theirs so you can continue to order many of the Original Herkimer Cheese products.
On behalf of the Basloe Family & our Original Herkimer Cheese Team, again, thank you for your support, business &, especially, friendship over these past 75 years!
