A busy start to my week- I wrapped up the 4th in a series of five, CSA Subscription Bouquets and cut a couple of arm loads of summer blooms to hang and dry for fall/winter projects. The reprieve from the smoke in the air is much appreciated!💐

This week's bouquets delivered to The Cottage Market in Summerville, includes a mix that I've never been able to do before. Thanks to the crazy growing conditions this year, I actually had both Stock (a cool season flower), and Lisianthus (a warm season flower), blooming at the same time. So these bouquets have a mix of both of these two blooms included. The Cottage Market is also filling up with lots of fresh summertime produce these days. Please stop by to check it all out!💐

An interesting harvest day-
Normally my hands are green after I harvest and strip the excess foliage off the stems. Today, my hands were black from all of the wildfire ash and soot that's landed. Then, because there's so much ash in the stems, I took the air compressor to them in order to try and remove as much ash as I could. I am praying for everyone and everything impacted by these terrible wild fires!🙏💐

It's been a crazy busy couple of weeks! I wrapped up the 3rd CSA Bouquets (in a series of 5), provided florals for two weddings, and in the middle of it all have been caring for my crazy, little Mini Blue Heeler, who had a horrible accident; managing to scalp nearly half of her right side as a result of running into our ornamental fire ring while trying to catch a squirrel. Many "Thank you's" to all of the people who have helped me these past couple of weeks- Hailee Patterson-Jamison and Izabel Martin for assisting with wedding prep, Animal Health Center staff for the care of my dog, and my incredible family for unwavering support and encouragement! Thank you all, for all that you do!💐❤️
