You ever feel like you're on a wash, rinse, repeat cycle with meals? Burgers on Monday, taco Tuesday (like, every Tuesday) pork chops, chicken, throw in some pasta dish; day after day, week after week. Well, here's your chance to get off the dinner struggle bus. This recipe is absolutely amazing! Seriously, make it, you won't regret it!
Ingredients:
Viking Mushrooms gourmet mushrooms- Black Pearl, Blue oyster or a mix of your favorites
Protein- I used cube steak, but ribeye or chicken would work too
Asiago, Monterey Jack, and provolone cheese
Mayo
Minced garlic
Butter
Italian seasoning
Seasoing of choice for steak/protein- I used Viking Mushroom seasoning and Montreal steak seasoning
Italian loaf bread
Cut and saute mushrooms in butter and oil
Thinly slice protein and toss in oil and seasoning - I used Montreal steak seasoning and Viking Mushrooms Spicy seasoning
Sauté protein in oil until done and set aside
Shred Asiago and Monterey jack cheese - about 1 - 1.5 cps of each depending on how cheesy you like it
In medium bowl, add 1 cup of mayo, 2 tbs minced garlic, tsp of Italian seasoning and 2 tbs of soften butter - add shredded cheese and mix to combine.
Spoon and spread onto halved Italian bread loaf
Add sliced protein and mushrooms
Layer provolone cheese
Sprinkle pepper and Italian seasoning
Bake in 425° oven for about 10-15 mins or until cheese is melted and starts to brown.
Cool, slice, and prepare self for the praise and applause, cuz, yeah, it's seriously that good😁
