🌟 Vendor Highlight of the Week: Mama Manning’s Bakery and Produce 🍞🌱
We’re so excited to spotlight the incredible Jill Manning of Mama Manning's Bakery and Produce!

Jill is an absolute rockstar — she started baking to create healthier options for her family and ended up crafting her own sourdough starter that powers beautiful 3-ingredient breads. Her sourdough minimizes glucose spikes and supports gut health, all while tasting absolutely amazing!
You’ll find her at the market in her favorite sundress (she hates shoes!) serving up wonderful treats like brown butter sourdough cookies, scones, and more. Everything is made with mostly organic ingredients and lots of love — some of the produce even comes from her own backyard!
Come say hello to Jill this Saturday and grab some of her delicious sourdough breads, cookies, scones, and fresh produce. Your taste buds (and your body) will thank you!

🌟 Vendor Highlight of the Week: Scott Farm 🌾
We’re thrilled to spotlight Scott Farm, a true family-run gem at the Independence Farmers’ Market!
Meet the dedicated team: Jim Scott (owner/farmer), Cindy Scott (farmer’s wife), Bobby Scott (Jim’s brother), and Marty Wood (sister). Together, this hardworking family pours love into their 42 acres (part of 106 total) to bring you the freshest local produce every week! 🍅🌽🍑
What you’ll find at their booth:
• Juicy tomatoes
• Sweet corn
• Melons
• Kohlrabi (a customer favorite!)
• Fresh peaches
• Seasonal favorites like pumpkins and beautiful fall mums
Their Story:
Jim and Cindy started this journey in the early 2000s when they purchased 42 acres from Jim’s parents. Farming runs deep in the family — Jim’s great aunt used to truck garden!
The Scott Farm crew loves being at our market because it gives them the chance to connect with customers, share their knowledge, and encourage everyone to enjoy farm-fresh food.
Fun Fact: Their playful farm dog, Cole (a black lab), loves joining the fun — catching falling peaches and pulling apples right off the low branches! 🐶🍑
Stop by this Saturday to say hello to Jim, Cindy, Bobby, and Marty and stock up on their delicious produce!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Independence Farmers’ Market this past Saturday! We loved seeing all of you enjoying the beautiful day, supporting local vendors, and being part of our community. 💛
We especially enjoyed the live music that added such a great vibe to the morning! 🎶
