🎉 It is Allerton's 6th Anniversary! What do we have going on this week?

🍺 We are bookending our anniversary with some b**r releases! Oktoberfest is set to release this Thursday, October 15. In addition, our New Allerton Ale will release on Sunday, October 18.

🧁 Friday October 16 we will have cupcakes available for free! If you previously saw the Bock Poke on the calendar for this day, we apologize. We did not have enough time to properly plan and promote this event, so it has been left off of the calendar of events. Psst, if you know anyone interested in planning events for Allerton, let us know!

📅 Lastly we have the Class of '91 celebrating their 35 year reunion at Allerton on Saturday October 17. This is not a private event, so feel free to stop by for a drink, but expect busier than average crowds.

📅 Two weeks late, but here is our October calendar!

🎂 Our Anniversary Weekend snuck up on us. We have some exciting b**r releases, including our Oktoberfest Marzen on Thursday, and a reimagined Allerton Ale on Thursday. We redesigned Allerton Ale v2 (as we have been calling it) to be a bit lighter than its previous version. We hope that you like it! In addition to those 2 b**r releases, stop by on Friday October 16 for some cake and a return of the popular Bock Poke, last hosted by Griz last spring for our Eliminator Doppelbock!

🍸 If the Anniversary festivities were not enough for you, Amy has been working on some tasty fall cocktails to share with you on Friday October 23! These will be available in flights, so you can try all of her creations!

🍝 Last but not least, Sherry has once again spearheaded our October pop-up on Saturday October 24. This time she is serving up Chicken Tetrazzini!

🙋‍♀️ Speaking of ladies, it is the first day for our newest employee, Rory! She is an Allerton legend, and you are probably familiar with her on the front side of the bar. But now she is going to be on the other side serving b**rs. Come say hello to her on her first day!

🍺 Also, if you had missed it a few weeks ago, Yield of Dreams is now on tap! This is a collaborative brew made by Iowa Brewer's Guild members. It is a corn l***r; easy drinking and oh so clean! We are on our last keg of it, so come try it before its gone!

🍫 The 2026 W**e and Chocolate Walk is underway! We have samples of El Caballo Mexican Ale, as well as some yummy chocolate goodies made by Amy and Cody! The Gedney Coffee Stout Chocolate Truffles are to die for!

🍲 Our Beef Stew Pop-Up is today, starting at 4pm!

😋 It is now officially fall, so time to make soup! This is a hearty stew filled with all of the usual suspects: beef, potatoes, green beans, carrots, corn, and onions. The recipe comes from the mind of Sherry, so be sure to pop by the kitchen and thank her for putting this together!

🍞 We also have baked some fresh b**r bread, the perfect accompaniment to a hot bowl of soup! The bread features our soon to be released Oktoberfest Marzen!

🍕 Today is National Pepperoni Pizza Day! Come down to the taproom for some great pizza specials, and an opportunity to try a new specialty pizza I came up with.

🌟 I call it the Allerton Grinder, and it features chopped pepperoni, salami, pepperoncinis, garden fresh serano peppers, and chilli crisp! It is super tasty, and just the right level of spicy. Come check it out for just $16! Very limitied quantities available, so come try it before you miss the chance! If it proves to be popular, maybe we will bring it back some time.

🍯 If you want your spicy pepperoni with a bit of sweet, try our classic hot honey pepperoni for only $14.

👪 And if spicy is not your thing, grab a plain pepperoni for only $10! Perfect for the kiddos, but we won't judge you if you grab one for yourself!

📞 Kitchen opens at 4pm. Don't forget that you can call into the taproom and we will make sure to have your pizza hot and ready to eat in house or to go when you arrive.

‼️ Don't forget about the Homecoming football game tonight. Kickoff was moved to 6:50pm. We will have the game on the big screen inside the taproom, so grab a b**r and settle down to watch! Unfortunately the outside tv is on the fritz, so the game will not be on the deck. Open until 10pm, so stop by after the game if you go watch it in person!

🎉 If you hadn't noticed the window decorations downtown, it is Homecoming week!

🏈 We will have the Homecoming football game on the screens at the taproom! Kickoff is at 7:30pm. Wear your maroon and white and come down to support your local Independence Mustangs with some locally brewed b**r!
