Sad to hear of the passing of Craig Layman. He was always fun to hang out with and talk to about bbq. He always stopped by our bbq trailer to see how we thought we did. Rest in peace my friend.

We had a fun time at the Border War BBQ contest in Osawatomie Kansas. I actually lived there for a short period of time when I was 4 years old. My dad worked at the state hospital there. We ended up getting a good ole' fashioned ass-whoopin' finishing middle of the pack. We thought we had decent food but no calls and even our appearance scored weren't great on all categories but that's how it goes. Regardless of the results, we had a great time catching up with friends. Congrats to Tebo Creek BBQ on GC (3rd GC in 5 contests) and Dirt Road BBQ on RGC. Now its time for some deer hunting and making plans for competition BBQ next year.
Thanks to Oakridge BBQ, , Valley Oaks Angus, and everyone else who have helped us out over the years. See you next season

Had a good time at the Guts, Glory, Ram Throwdown in Lebanon MO. Always fun cooking in the ozarks. I cooked this one solo and finished 9th in chicken, 5th in ribs, 13th in pork and 13th in brisket for 8th place overall. Congrats to Joe Pearce from Slaps BBQ on GC and Boomerang BBQ on RGC. Good seeing everyone we havent seen in a while! A couple of weeks off and then we are headed to Osawatomie KS for the Border War BBQ. Thanks to everyone that helped out in getting supplies, meat, etc.. on short notice.

Home from a fun weekend at the west bottoms bbq contest. This will be a fun contest for years to come. We managed a 6th place rib and 5th place pork for 13th overall out 29 teams. Congrats to Tebo Creek on their GC and Dirt Road on their RGC. Good to see our bbq friends after some time off.
