Dominical Farm is moving to an invitation-only u-pick setup so we can focus on growing more for our neighbors and members. We'll still be posting pics and tips for growing your own garden, so watch for those all season long! Looking forward to a GREAT 2014! :)

Boy, does time go by FAST! It's time to start seed starting indoors for us! Peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, etc.... gearing up for the spring! The peppers and tomatoes need extra time to grow indoors since we have such a short season here.

CSA: today there is only kale and chard, so stop by any time after 2pm if you want some. Limited quantity, first come first served.

CSA MEMBERS: looks like this is the last 'bin' pickup, so if you could bring your bins back this week/next, that would be appreciated. Next week will be very light and i'll probably just put out tubs of whatever produce is left, so please bring a reusable bag to pick out what you want. I went ahead and put your (cute but tiny) pumpkins in the bins this week. Any questions, comments, concerns... Just let me know! :)

CSA MEMBERS: It looks like our season will be coming to an end in about two weeks... we had a frost on Monday night and are expected to have a full on freeze on Friday night, thus wiping out all of our summer crops. Our winter crops did not come in much at all (still not sure why) thus the slightly earlier end to the season. Over the next two pickups I will be digging up the last of the carrots and onions and also pulling up potatoes to divide amongst all of you! And of course, you will all get your (super tiny but oh-so-cute) pumpkins. They are sugar pumpkins so don't be too quick to just put them out on the porch for decoration... make something tasty!!! We are going to change things up a bit next year and move to a invite-only U-Pick model and, of course, all CSA people will have first dibs on that... so stay tuned for more details on that later (how it will work, costs, etc.) We're already planning ahead and will have garlic next year too! Anyways... that's the latest and greatest. Happy Fall everyone!

CSA: I decided to take advantage of our sunny morning and do the harvest today. Bins will be ready by 2pm! Flowers too!

CSA MEMBERS: Depending on rain we might move pickup to Saturday or back to Mon/Tuesday... check here for updates... we'll post once bins are ready to pickup (whenever that is) Thanks for understanding!!! And hopefully there will be extra juicy vegetables!!! :)

CSA MEMBERS: pickup is from 2pm onwards AND we're starting to get tomatoes in! You'll probably find some nearly ripe ones in your bin, we're trying to beat the birds and voles to them... :)
