Three years ago, we opened A Thousand Smiles with a simple hope: to create a joyful, welcoming place where people could slow down, share a drink, and leave smiling. What started as a dream turned into countless memories, connections, and moments of happiness for our community. Despite our best efforts, long hours, and constant adaptation, we never reached the consistent foot traffic or revenue needed to sustain the business. After much reflection and heartbreak, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors.
While the shop is closing, the financial responsibility remains. We took out a small business loan to build and operate A Thousand Smiles, and are still working to pay off the remaining balance. This fundraiser is to help ease that burden and allow us to close this chapter with dignity, rather than debt that will follow us for years. If A Thousand Smiles ever brought you joy—whether through a favorite drink, a friendly conversation, or simply being a bright spot in your day—any support would mean more than we can express. Donations of any size, as well as sharing this fundraiser, truly help.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us move forward to the next chapter. We are endlessly grateful for the love and smiles from this community.
