Serving suggestion for baguettes:
Butter and toast half a baguette then top with alternating layers of sliced tomato, chilled and sliced mozzarella, and fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with a balsamic vinegar reduction.

Since artisan bread, by its nature, has no preservatives the crust can get dense and chewy within a few days of baking. There is, however, an easy way to freshen up your loaf or baguette; all you need to do is heat your oven to 350°F, mist your bread or run it under some water quickly, then put it in the oven for 5 to 8 minutes. Once it cools enough to handle it'll be good as new!
