Well, another year in the books!😃 It's been a ride, from me having to help a Ewe deliver her baby you all now know as Bull, to having a chicken "My Chicken" (name I've given her) adopt me, to shearing day (or Spa Day✂️) with Chuck Penich and, well you can see the crazy shenanigans going on in the barn.🤷
Sadly there was a loss though unrelated to the sheep, the duck known as Aflac was taken by the local fox.🥲
Then ending with me having to help yet another ewe give birth, call me Dr. 👩‍⚕️and the baby being the last lamb of the season.
It's been so much fun and I've learned so much, I can't explain what a blessing Moire McLaughlin Bridges has been to me and going through this, this year with her has been so much fun and such a wonderful experience. We laughed and we could of screamed I'm sure at times but it was all worth every single second!!❤️

Oh yeah, there was some tree cutting and wood stacking too! 🪵

Surprise!!
IT'S A BOY!!!
Yes, Dups had a baby boy and she did wonderful!
Dups was having trouble as this was her first birth and the lamb was large. After assistance by my Bestie Moire McLaughlin Bridges and myself , we were able to get the baby out and they are both doing great!
Now, I have to tell all of Dups' followers that I had no idea it was Dups until we put her in a separate area with her lamb.
Well, the reason being is like I mentioned previously she was having trouble and our concern wasn't who she was, it was just that we knew we had to help that Ewe.
After all was well and things were calm I noticed a black dot on the back of her right ear and Moire says, "THATS DUPS!!" Our eyes got big and we both laughed! How amazing it was to find that out❤️
This was my first time assisting a sheep with birthing, it was just like you would see in videos or on TV, and guess what?? I DID IT! I didn't know that going to the barn tonight to just set up separate pens for the mother's and babies to be would of turned out to be one of the most memorable evenings of my life! I haven't felt this proud of myself in a very very long time!
Remembering the videos I had watched to prepare for this years lambing season all came flooding back tonight. When I had a hold of those little legs and was pulling with just about all I had I knew that I couldn't give up because both of their lives depended on it! I could see the nose and just kept a tight grip on the legs. When Bull, yes his name is Bull due to his size, finally came out, I fell backwards on my butt and had this feeling of, wow it's hard to find the words to describe it. It was amazing! But I knew I wasn't done, I had to make sure he was okay and what you see in the video was me doing just that❤️
I hope you can all appreciate this video.
