In honor of National C***r Month, we’d like to feature French c***r producer AVAL C***r 🍎

Aval comes from the Brittany region of France and means “apple” in Breton, the traditional language there. This region has been producing c***r for more than 1,000 years and is one of the best regions for c***r production in the world!

With zero added sugar or sweeteners, Aval is the result of natural fermentation of 100% pure fresh-pressed juice of multiple varietals of apples. Grown and harvested by co-op producer-members, and pressed at their facility in the heart of Bretagne.

So excited to add Peter Michael W**ery to our portfolio at B Side🍷

Peter Michael W**ery is a family-owned, limited-production estate w**ery rooted in mountain vineyards, classical French-inspired w**emaking, and long-term land stewardship. Founded by Sir Peter Michael in 1982, the w**ery now farms three primary estates across Sonoma and Napa, with each site chosen for its distinct elevation, soils, exposure, and climate.

Sense of place is central to the w**ery, worrying less about imposing a style on the land than allowing the land to define the w**e. They specialize in w**e ranging from Chardonnay to Bordeaux reds 🍇

We’re proud and honored to announce that B Side Selections is now the exclusive distributor for Scarpetta w**es here in Indiana.

Scarpetta was founded in 2007 by Master Sommelier Bobby Stuckey and Chef Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, the team behind Boulder’s celebrated, Michelin-starred Frasca. The project originated during a trip to Italy’s Friuli region, which inspired both the restaurant and the w**e label. What began as a focus on Friulano white w**es has since grown into a full portfolio spanning red, rosé, and sparkling varietals. Friuli-Venezia Giulia, tucked between the Alps and the Adriatic, is one of Italy’s most distinctive and often lesser-known w**e regions.

Scarpetta has built its reputation on bringing that quality and authenticity to American tables and we’re excited to share these w**es in our home state. The brand has grown alongside one of the most impressive Italian w**e programs in the country at Frasca, a strong signal of the depth of expertise behind it.

We are proud to announce that B Side Selections is now the exclusive Indiana representative for The Eyrie Vineyards, one of the founding estates of Oregon w**emaking. We’ve pursued this partnership since B Side’s inception in 2019 and are thrilled to bring these w**es to our market.

Founded in 1965 by David and Diana Lett, Eyrie set the standard for fine w**e in the Pacific Northwest. David, who came to be known as “Papa Pinot” famously planted the first Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris vines in Oregon’s Dundee Hills—a region critics initially claimed was too cold for European vinifera. That bold risk redefined American viticulture. Today, under the guidance of second-generation w**emaker Jason Lett, Eyrie remains a global benchmark for terroir-driven excellence.

The Eyrie reputation was cemented further in 1979 when their 1975 vintage Reserve Pinot Noir placed among the top w**es in a blind tasting against top Burgundies, even holding its own against a celebrated Chambolle-Musigny, losing by only two-tenths of a point!

From planting the first Pinot Noir in Oregon to planting the first Pinot Gris in the United States, Eyrie’s w**es are a rare opportunity to try out a genuine piece of American w**e history; still made by the family that started it all.
