They may look the same in color, but the 14%abv cherry cheesecake (left) and the 8% berserker's blood are totally different beasts!
18 bottles of the cherry cheesecake and 12.5 bottles of the berserker's blood filled up this morning!

I've got more brewing to do tonight, and bottling the cherry cheesecake and Viking blood tomorrow.
What batches should I prep tonight? I've got stuff for:
Strawberry banana
Raspberry
Pear&plum
Strawberry-hibiscus-dragonfruit
Cherry-berry
Blackberry
Lemonade mead

23 bottles of my cherry-berry 1312 recipe bottled fresh this afternoon!! This recipe is a little hazier than most of my recipes, but it actually tastes more like a wine than a mead! Fun fact: wines made entirely of fruits other than grapes are called "country wines" to differentiate them from standard grape wines! This batch clocked in at a healthy 12.08% ABV and tastes great already, with strong tastes of blackberry and tart cherry with a muted, semi-dry finish of raspberries and strawberries! The way these flavors wash across your tongue often change with aging, so I'll give updates in a few months!

I did it. I challenged myself to brew SIXTY pounds of honey AND bottle 5 gallons of mead in one day.
I overslept, had to run errands all over Indy to track down ingredients at the last minute, and also pick up breakfast for the wife, but I burned through sixty three and a half pounds of honey today. I taught a good friend the absolute basics of being a mazer, as well!
From first to last picture:
1-I miss Kuma's Corner Indianapolis so I went ahead and made a mead to echo the sauce they made for their jalapeno poppers. Strawberry-chipotle-guajillo. I smoked some of the honey for this batch over mesquite chips. I'm very excited for this batch.
2-i fell back to a tried and true recipe for my first 6.5 gallon batch! I call it the blair mountain berry mix, in honor of real rednecks and union members!
3- the cherry cheesecake ala "the mad Meader" has made it's return in a bigger batch, with some adjustments!
4- some injuries have been incurred, but I'm being metaphorical when I talk about blood, sweat, and tears being in my brews!
5- the Colavito razz is a simple but expressive recipe and I'm excited for it to shine in the future!
6-the guava-passionfruit from November is finally bottled! WOW! what an explosion of flavor!
7-the cran-lime from November has also been bottled! A month ago it was so bitter it was undrinkable, now it's a smooth but sweet brew with just a hint of citrus and cranberry.

This week has been fu**ed. I'm glad to be enjoying a Friday night with a bottle of my pawpaw mead. In fact, I gifted a bottle to one of my favorite local leftists and got this review (which I'm super fu**in proud of): "This sh*ts fantastic I’m drunk af" a couple hours after I dropped it off.
What are y'all doing with your Friday night? Got any Covid-safe plans? Y'all doing anything to make your community better? I'd love to hear about it
