We all know the story of Johnny Appleseed. But here’s the part that often gets left out: many of the apples he planted weren’t necessarily meant for eating. Because he planted apples from seed, the resulting fruit could vary widely. Some were tart and tannic, making them better suited for c***r than a snack.
Turns out, there’s a little more c***r history behind Johnny Appleseed than we learned in school.
