Went and competed at Hog Days of Summer. I had a pretty good cook. It was consistent with no hiccups. Usually that means I get my butt handed to me. But this time god had other plans.

Ribs 1st place 180! Wichita Packing
Pork 8th Place Compart Family Farms
Brisket 6th place
Dessert 2nd

In Da’ Pig House BBQ congratulations on your GC and your first place spam. You really killed it. You both earned it. A&R Barbeque hell of a job getting RGC. I would say better luck next time on the coin toss but we’ll Yk hahahaha. We’re off until the 17th when we have a wedding catering event and the 25th we will be at Murphysboro Illinois.

🍒 All American BBQ Throwdown Recap! 🍒

We came in burning the midnight oil (almost quite literally 🤣) rolled in at 1045pm. I’ve been practicing very hard to improve my all around cook and this weekend it finally showed. The field was stacked against some of the biggest people in bbq. Super proud of Chasity Godwin and Brandi Ernstes without them none of this was possible.
Ryan Pattenaude who helped get me parked and flag down a team for late minute meat inspection.

*🐔 Chicken: 14th (Miller Amish Country Poultry)
* 🐖 Ribs: 22nd (Wichita Packing)
* 🐷 Pork: 20th (Compart Family Farms)
* 🐄 Brisket: 18th (SRF)
* 🍰 Cherry cheesecake 3rd (tie for 2nd loss coin flip) still got a 🍒 tho 💪💪💪

17th out of 50 overall!

This was my best KCBS score so far at 686.777. One of my goals for the season was a 700. We have one more shot next month 🤘💪

Praise god for the ability to put together a very consistent cook and the ability to see our friends and to hear our name called.

Some days you’re the hammer some days you’re the nail. Last weekend we were the nail. We left hermitage, TN knowing we were in a dog fight. I gotta thank Miller Amish Country Poultry supplying us with the best chicken in the game and all their support. We thought the chicken was spectacular but the judges did not. Wichita Packing for their always on point ribs. We just missed the mark this weekend. My fault I’ll get it back on track. Compart Family Farms for their amazing pork collars. I was so close to getting a podium call against a 3x WFC finalist with these money muscles!!!! Every dish was smoked to perfection with the best fuel in the game Bear Mountain BBQ on my Traeger Grills. I can’t do what I do without your help and support. Now to finish up KCBS and prep for WFC in October.

Took this hottie to beach this weekend for her birthday. Next weekend is back to normal, I’m telling yall now, everyone can get it at Famous Dave's Hermitage, Tennessee. I’ve got that golden 🎫 secured and I’m coming for that $$$. I’m swinging hard at this one. Been tweaking this dish for a few weeks now. 💪🤘💪🤘
