Bringing you the goods.
Just over one year ago a group of people in the community joined forces to come up with a plan to help the community have fresh, affordable, accessible, local foods in the neighborhood where there aren't any grocery stores. We saw this to be a huge issue and really wanted to change these options for everyone. Last summer there was an opportunity to start up a low cost farmers market with a donated space. The location quickly became part of a revitalization plan and the timing just didn’t work out for all involved.
After winter months and making more connections with organizations and farmers we were able to finally make a Little Free Farm Stand possible for this neighborhood to have access to fresh local produce from farmers. We are so thankful for the partnership with Rabble Coffee who is providing the safe space to carry out this project.
At this time, we plan to be set up on Saturdays, to pass out produce to those who need it. We are hoping to have access to continue to receive donations of food from our local farmers and organizations throughout the season to continue our mission. We will gladly accept fresh foods that you have in excess to share with others. We are currently working on our nonprofit application and have the opportunity to give you a tax donation receipt through one of our partners at this time.
