Watching mares that we have raised become mommas and be so good at it makes everything worth it!
In 2024 we had to pull her first foal as he was HUGE! This year we started watching her early and making sure we would be prepared incase she needed help again. She showed no signs of foaling last night and we came home today to this cutie!

She may not have a fancy set of papers, but she is the result of breeding that my family has worked on for over 20 years. Her mom was with us for 20+ years until she passed and her sister has been with us for 22 years.

I may be a little partial to his dad BUT this guy has been handled very little and has taken being in the barn like a champ and even started letting me give him some attention! Playtime Pepper passes down his calm demeanor and we are looking forward to seeing how his foals come along as they come of age to be started!

The 2026 breeding season is closing in on us and we will be standing Playtime Pepper again this year. We will take a limited number of mares through the end of June.

*AI can be available upon request and that expense will be covered by the mare owner.
* Mare care $15 a day.
*All mares must have current coggins and vaccines, proof will be required at booking!

We have LOTS of things going on around here! Our silkie grow outs are getting big and definitely going through their ugly stage but boy are they pretty! We also added a few new laying hens ( barred rocks and Easter eggers )!

We also have a broody silkie hen and hope to have a clutch hatching in about 18 days or so! 🐣
